WEAVE

Are you looking for phones with a twist?

Weave Phone Service
Marissa@summitdentalpartners.com

1/23/2019

Weave is a phone company I have seen in many of the offices we consult with. This is a phone system on steriods. When a patient calls their information pops up on your computer with family info, balances, birthdays etc. This software allows you to text your patients from your office number and collect reviews. Another awesome feature is the missed call text. If the office for some reasome can't answer the phone (I know this never happens in your office) a text will be sent to that patient saying "Sorry we missed your call. Please feel free to text us...

I would highly recommend learning more about this company. They intergrate with most practice management software.

Reach out to Brock Jensen. When you call mention that Marissa from Summit Dental Partners recommended a webinar and they will waive half of the activation fee and upgrade 2 phones to their 411 model.

Accounts Receivable

The importance of running the right reports

Eaglesoft

Marissa@summitdentalpartners.com

Do you know in Eaglesoft that you can filter out your credits? Many offices do not know they can do this. The issue is, when you do not filter out the credits you may think your accounts receivable (money owed to you by patients and insurance) is where it should be but in some cases an office may have $10,000-$100,000 of patient credits on their accounts. Once you filter out those credits your accounts receivable total is going to shoot up to a number you may not be happy with.

How to filter out the credits to show your true AR:
Go to Reports> Accounts Receivable by Responsible Party > Filter > Range of Account Balances > In the first box enter {0} and in the second box enter {9999999}
To show credits only, enter {-99999999} in the first box and {0} in the second.

video recording your employees

is it legal?

Can I legally record employees in the office?
Blake@summitdentalpartners.com

Can you record a co-worker or employee in the office in Massachusetts? I know that may sound funny, but it recently came up in a situation I was involved in. The short answer is kind of depending on how it’s done. Employers have the right to video record their office, thus being able to record employees. The word video is very important. In Massachusetts it is illegal to record audio of someone without their consent. So, if an employee wants to record other co-workers not working or doing something they shouldn’t be doing there is potentially great risk for everyone. With today’s smart phones I recommend making it an office policy that all phones stay in the break room because not only can they be distracting, but they can also get you and the office in legal jeopardy.
